SPC flooring is a new type of flooring, also known as stone plastic flooring. Its substrate is a composite board made of stone powder and thermoplastic polymer materials mixed evenly and then extruded at high temperature. It not only has the properties and characteristics of wood, but also the properties and characteristics of plastic, with good toughness and strength. Today, we will introduce the aspects that need to be noted when installing SPC flooring in winter.
1. To control the temperature well, because in winter, when the temperature is low, there may be some hollowing problems when tiling or scraping putty. Even if the house has already heated up, attention should also be paid to the cracking problem caused by rapid water loss on the working surface.
2. When installing SPC flooring in winter, attention should be paid to leaving some gaps. We all understand what thermal expansion and contraction are, so when installing in winter, it is appropriate to leave some gaps, usually a 2mm expansion joint, to avoid hanging or expanding in summer.
3. During winter installation and construction, SPC flooring is usually moved from outdoors to indoors, which requires more than 24 hours of storage. It can only be laid after adapting to the temperature, in order to prevent hollowing or detachment.
